Privacy Policy

Onside is a squad management app for recreational sports groups. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

• Account data: email address, display name, profile photo (optional)
• Squad activity: RSVP responses, game participation, POTM votes
• Device data: push notification token (for game reminders and notifications)
• Health data (iOS only, optional): distance, steps, active calories and heart rate during your game window — only if you connect Apple Health AND choose to share with your squad

• To run the app and your squad
• To send you game notifications (RSVP reminders, team announcements, POTM results)
• To display your stats and leaderboard position to your squadmates
• Health data is only shared with your squad if you explicitly enable “Share with squad” in Settings — it is never used for any other purpose

• We do not sell your data
• We do not use your data for advertising
• Your stats and profile are visible to members of your squad only
• We use Supabase for data storage and authentication — their privacy policy applies to infrastructure
• We use Resend for transactional emails
• We use Expo for push notifications

• Health data is read from Apple Health only with your permission
• Health data is stored on our servers only if you enable “Share with squad”
• You can disconnect Apple Health or disable sharing at any time in Settings
• We comply with Apple's HealthKit guidelines — health data is never used for advertising or sold to third parties

• Your data is retained while your account is active
• You can delete your account at any time from your player card — this permanently deletes all your data including profile, RSVPs, votes and stats
• Health data shared with your squad is deleted when you delete your account

• Access: you can view your data in the app at any time
• Deletion: delete your account from your player card
• Correction: update your name and photo in Settings

Onside is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy. We'll notify you via the app for significant changes.
